CAN I DO IT?

This is A MODERATE LEVEL with the most original and exclusive alternative Inca Trail, following paths only recently discovered. It is suitable for anyone who likes the adventure, a little spare energy and no visible signs of vertigo!

DAY 1 CUSCO - SANTA MARIA

You will be picked up early in the morning and driven through the stunning Sacred Valley, which was once thecradle of the Inca civilization.  We will travel by car to 4,316 meters, where after approximately three hours,we will arrive to Abra Malaga.  After, you will put on gloves and helmets following a 10-minute briefing by our experienced tour guide. Then, the fun will begin. Approximately 50 km downhill,we will stop and enjoy the box lunch in Wamanmarca, an Inca archaeological site. After one hour, we willstopin “SANTA MARIA” where you can buy provisions or rest your legs and enjoy a cold beer before dinner.  Dinner will include traditional Peruvian food. That night, you can takea shower at a family run hostel and sleep in a single, double, or triple room.

DAY 2 SANTA MARIA - SANTA TERESA - TREKKING

After breakfast,we will begin the trek, which gets progressively steeper. After our hike, you can relax in hammocks, admire the coca plantations, and refresh yourself while being entertained by the family monkey.At 12:30 pm, we will have lunch at the small town of Qellomayo. After lunch, we are going to the COCALMAYO hot springs, where you can rejuvenate in the heavenly hot waters and forget your worries.

At 17:30, you will sleep well in an impressive jungle lodge after dinner.

DAY 3 SANTATERESA - AGUAS CALIENTES

After breakfast, we will travel to a town close to hydroelectric via private transportation.  After an hour,we will arrive to our lunch spot ,“IncaRacay.”We will then travel for two more hours until we reach AguasCalientes. After that, we will settle into the hostel with hot water and private bathrooms and have dinner.

DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU - CUZCO

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the bus station in AguasCalientes. You will then take the 30-minute busto arrive at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. Once in Machu Picchu, we will tourthe site (duration of the tour will be approximately two-and-a-half hours). After that, you will have a lot of time to explore Machu Picchu by yourself and to climb the mountain of Wayna Picchu. After that we are going to return to AguasCalientes for lunch in a nice restaurant. Finally we are going to return to Cuzco (the train schedule depends on availability)

We highly recommend that you book this trip at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance.
