CAN I DO IT?

This is a moderate level trek along the most original and exclusive alternative Inca trail, following paths only recently discovered. It is suitable for anyone who likes adventure, has a little energy, and does not have visible signs of vertigo!

DAY 1: CUSCO - SANTA MARIA

7:30 am: you will be picked up early in the morning and driven through the stunning sacred valley, which was once the cradle of the Inca civilization. We will then travel by car from there until Abra Malaga, at an altitude of 4,316 meters.

10:00 am: you will then put on gloves and helmets provided by us, followed by a 10-minute briefing by our experienced tour guide. Then, the fun will begin.

13:30: you will enjoy the boxed lunch provided by us, and then we will tour our first Inca archaeological site of the trek.

15:00: we will travel to the town of “Santa Maria,” where you can buy provisions or rest your legs and enjoy a cold beer before dinner.  Dinner will include traditional peruvian food. That night, you have the opportunity to take a hot shower at a family run hostel and sleep in single, double, or triple rooms.

DAY 2 SANTA MARIA - SANTA TERESA - TREKKING

7:30 am: after breakfast, we will begin the hike, which gets progressively steeper.

10:00 am: after a hike on the Inca trail, you have the opportunity to relax in hammocks, admire the coca plantations and refresh yourself while being entertained by the family monkey.

12:30 pm: we will have lunch in the small town of qellomayo.

15:00:we will arrive at cocalmayo, some hot springs in the area. Rejuvenate in the heavenly hot waters and forget your worries in these natural settings.

17:30: you will sleep well in an impressive jungle lodge after dinner.

DAY 3  SANTA TERESA –LLACTA PATA  - AGUAS CALIENTES

7:00 am: after breakfast, we are going to travel to lucmabamba by private transport.

8:00 am: we are going to hike the entrance to another Inca trail, which was discovered just a few years ago.

11:30 am: we will tour the archaeological site of llactapata and have a picnic lunch with a view of machu picchu.

12:30 pm: we are going to walk for two hours down to the hydroelectric train station where our train departs for Aguascalientes. The base town for machu picchu.

15:00: travel from hydroelectric to Aguascalientes by private transport.

18:00: travel to the hostel with hot water and private bathrooms by private transport. We will have dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 4: MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

6:00 am: we will get up early to take the bus in order to arrive to the machu picchu sanctuary.

6:30 am: we will have a guided visit of the sanctuary of machu picchu (duration:  approximately two-and-a-half hour.).

10:00 am: you will have a lot of time to rest at machu picchu or to explore this archaeological site.
