Traditional and innovative dishes from the northern regions of Peru will be the highlight of a two-day culinary festival which expects over 20,000 visitors. The Sabe a Perú (Tastes like Peru) event will be held on May 21-22 at the San Martin de Porres University in Chiclayo, capital of Lambayeque region. The gastronomic weekend is organized by Grupo de Comunicación 360 and the Peruvian Society of Gastronomy (Apega) with the paticipation of renowned chefs and local picanterías, restaurants serving traditional dishes such as seco de cabrito (kid goat) and arroz con pato (spiced rice with roast duck). Sabe a Perú will also provide producers, suppliers and farmers in northern Peru with an excellent opportunity to establish new fruitful trade ties. Representatives of Grupo de Comunicacion 360 and Apega will arrive in Chiclayo this week to finalize details of the event. Source: andina.pe |
