He said 900,000 Chilean visitors will be arriving in Tacna by December this year, 450,000 will spend one or two days in the city, of which 150,000 will head to Arequipa, Cusco, Puno and Lima to visit tourist attractions.

ONE MILLION TOURISTS ARRIVE IN PERU THROUGH NORTHERN AND SOUTHERN BORDERS


Over a million tourists will arrive in Peru through border departments of Tacna and Tumbes by the end of the year, a 25 percent rise compared to 2009, said President of the National Tourism Chamber (Canatur), Carlos Canales.
