Lima, Oct. 17. Peruvian Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) reported on Saturday that the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations with Central America will begin on November 8. According to Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Eduardo Ferreyros, Peru is expected to launch negotiations with Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras and Guatelama. He also said the decision of El Salvador and Nicaragua will be rendered within a couple of days. “We can export many products to these countries as their markets are similar to ours and they speak our language.” Ferreyros noted that these are important markets, especially for small companies that cannot export to large ones -like Italy or Germany- from the beginning.
