Lima, Oct. 09. Luis Ramirez and Hernan Rengifo scored in the first six minutes, leading Peru to a 2-0 victory over Costa Rica in a friendly on Friday in Peru's capital. Ramirez scored in the third minute and Rengifo got another three minutes later to set up a third win for new Peru coach Sergio Markarian.
Costa Rica was managed by interim coach Ronald Gonzalez. Argentine Ricardo La Volpe was hired last month as Costa Rica's full-time coach and is expected to take over shortly.
