Lima, Oct. 22. Peruvian Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde has confirmed that the 4th Binational Cabinet meeting between Ecuador and Peru will take place on Tuesday, October 26 in the Ecuadorian city of Loja. “Presidents (Alan) Garcia and (Rafael) Correa agreed last night to hold this meeting as scheduled for Tuesday, October 26,” he told RPP late Thursday. Garcia Belaunde announced that the Peruvian delegation will travel to Loja on the very day of the meeting, "after overcoming some schedule issues which at first led to the cancellation of the encounter." The minister ruled out that the Binational Cabinet meeting will discuss the nautical chart made by Ecuador’s government to set the maritime boundaries with Peru. “One of the key topics to be covered is promoting bilateral integration in terms of bridges, highways, police cooperation, as well as health and irrigation projects such as Puyango-Tumbes”.
