As of August 15, total credit to the private sector soared 1.2 percent to 1.4 billion soles (some US$ 518,000) in the last four weeks, accumulating a last-12-month change of 16.6 percent, the bank reported.
BCR noted that credit in local currency increased 1.1 percent to 676 million soles (some US$ 242 million), while credit in dollars grew 1.4 percent to US$ 267 million.
Likewise, private sector’s liquidity jumped 2.8 percent to 3.3 billion soles (some US$ 1.1 billion) in the last four weeks.
