Companies attending Peru Travel Mart (PTM) 2010 to be held November 25-28, are expected to close deals worth up to US$20 million, which is higher than last year's number, reported the President of the organizing committee, Jorge Jochamowitz. In 2009, PTM closed deals worth US$16.9 million, while in 2008 PTM's deals hit a record of US$50.9 million. "The global financial crisis had a negative impact on PTM buyers last year, so the goal for this year is to improve figures,” Jochamowitz said. So far, 50 local sellers and 32 international buyers have confirmed their participation at the XVII edition of the Peru Travel Mart. The numbers are lower than last year's, though. The PTM Organizing Committee is focused on bringing buyers from Latin America, Brazil and Colombia, and also from Chile, France, India, Venezuela, Mexico, Italy and Spain. Source: andina.pe |
