Garcia Perez was accompanied by Foreign Minister Jose Antonio Garcia Belaunde and arrived in Lima at 17:20 hours (22:20 GMT). In Mar del Plata, President Garcia met with King Juan Carlos of Spain on the sidelines of the two-day summit. The Peruvian leader also held talks with his counterparts from Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos; Mexico, Felipe Calderon; and Chile, Sebastian Piñera; in order to deepen economic integration. As part of his activities at the 20th Ibero-American Summit, Garcia Perez participated in a plenary session and special session in honor of former Argentine President Nestor Kirchner. Earlier Saturday, the head of state met with the president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Alberto Moreno, and then with Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla. Source: andina.pe |

Peruvian President Alan Garcia on Saturday afternoon returned from Mar del Plata, Argentina after participating in the 20th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government.
