Peru, October 17th. The 33 miners rescued in Chile after spending 70 days trapped 700 meters deep, have recovered quickly and "two or three" of them can be discharged soon, as reported by physicians who serve in the Hospital of Copiapo.
The president of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, who remains in the north, had a meeting with the miners in the hospital for their health and share, for the first time, all together, according to La Moneda. At first it was reported that the miners would remain 48 hours in the hospital, but according to Montes maybe that time is not indispensable. "The two days that were said from the beginning is a standard situation, but the discharge is personal and depends on the treating physician," he said.
"Most of the miners have performed well from a medical standpoint," said Montes, to point out that workers are "very good" in the eye appearance. "They've grown quite fond of natural light," he said, and he said also "have suffered stress dramatically."
