PERU INTENDS TO DEEPEN TRADE COOPERATION WITH COLOMBIA
Santos’ first visit to Peru a few days ago raised widespread expectations of change in bilateral ties and attempted to go beyond "spectacular" political relations with Colombia.
"I have the feeling that Santos visit to Lima -before taking office- will open new horizons," he said from Colombia. In this sense, Garcia told his Colombian counterpart about the convenience of moving toward deeper integration. “I think we have a very good political relationship with Colombia but there is still much to do in terms of trade and business (...) President Santos said he is willing to deepen cooperation in economy, finances, and so forth," he said. Source: andina.pe
